CEA-761-B defines minimum specifications for a one-way data path utilizing an 8 VSB trellis or a 16 VSB remodulator in compliance with ATSC Standard A/53, Annex D. It also defines on-screen display (OSD) capabilities. CEA-761-B applies to any type of device used to connect to an ATSC compliant digital television receiver (DTV) receiver. Devices meeting this standard should interoperate with any ATSC compliant receiver that also supports "monitor mode."

CEA-799-A specifies syntax and semantics for bitmapped graphics data typically used for on-screen display (OSD). CEA-799-A is applicable whenever it is necessary to specify a standard method for delivery of bitmapped graphics data. The pixel formats include optional alpha-blend and transparency attributes to support composition of graphics over analog or digitally decoded video within the display.

CTA-2040 describes interfaces between a Common Interface Module (CI Module) located on a microSD card and a Terminal device. CEA-775-C defines mechanisms to allow a source of MPEG service, such as a cable or terrestrial set-top
box, digital VCR, or DTV to utilize the MPEG decoding and display capabilities in a DTV. A method is

CEA-775-C [1] standardizes the IEEE 1394 [3][4] High Performance Serial Bus interface for the Digital
Television (DTV) receiver. A digital storage device such as a D-VHS or hard disk digital recorder may be
